Gasthaus Barthels Hof is a family-run restaurant with a great traditional background. As one of Leipzig's oldest restaurants we are known for our regional cuisine as well as our hospitality.

Regional specialties
Since more than 500 years we love to cook Saxon food. For the preparation of our dishes we use local food products from selected suppliers. Our cooking team consistently creates new regional recipes that are prepared with great care and pleasure. Our guests appreciate the large variety of Saxon specialties such as a regional brewed beer called “Gose”, the well-known dessert “Leipziger Lerche” or Leipzig's beef roll.

At times of the old trade fair business men and merchants traded their products, make contracts and stayed in Gasthaus Barthels Hof to have a freshly poured beer.
